Eight Years With You Poem by Juvie Gubat

Eight Years With You

I had but one question before I married you.
I wondered if life'd be happier with you.
I needn't think hard, because just by watching you,
I knew I could never be with any man who isn't like you.

Felicity! What joy and meaning life has each year with you!
True, this is true- -that my perfect match is you.
Far more worthy and precious to me are you
Than ten sons that the Lord will one day give me and you.

My father, my brother, my friend, and my lover- -You!
Most loved, most cherished I am by you.
Mere words and kisses may not suffice to show you
My joy, my pride, my delight, and the love I have for you.

Still, I will say this to you:
I LOVE YOU!
