It's light all night
It's dark all day
Ice for blood
Life slips away
The seconds stretch
Unending wait
The black dog snarls
I suffocate
Then laughter lights
My darkened day
The black dog turns
He slinks away
And 'though this joy
Is swiftly passed
The sweet elixir
Heals my heart
