Empty Feelings Poem by Hunter Evett

Empty Feelings

How many times does
it take before these
empty feelings go away?

Why are we always
arguing about the
things that don't
matter in life?

If we don't get rid
of these empty feelings,
do you think we will be
together much longer?

When will we put love
into these feelings
to give them a meaning
to what we call life?

Who will start to change
and get rid of their
selfish habits before
its all too late?

I will change,
I will love you to the end.

But what if you
don't accept me
for the care taker
I am?

Will it be all for
naught and not
matter in the end?

Who would I meet
next in this absurd
world who's always
looking for that
certain someone?

Am I actually
considering the inevitable
right now or am I scared
of what could be?

Does this all not
affect you and
the way you feel
about our empty feelings?

I am not worried
about our empty feelings.
I will change.
I will love you to the end.
