Enchanting Autumn Poem by Cat Hodgson

Enchanting Autumn

Let me drink wine from your sunny ray
Oh hold me in warmth by harvest moon
Let a whispering wind enchant my brow
Let me remember each embracing somehow

This night of dreams brings my heart solitude
Like opening heaven with a cusp of moon
Stars once enchanting sparkle with light
Dreaming in darkness oh wonderful night

Dancing leaves bring shadows forlorn
All these wonders as new seasons born
Oh how I love this cool autumn muse
Pumpkin smiles lit with flickering fuse

Pantry full for the long winter to come
Fire light by the crisp night til dawn
Darkness holds longer as season goes on
But yet I remember holding on tight
In the dream of yesterday, til morn light
