Envy Rots The Bones Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Envy Rots The Bones

Envy sees nothing good, just sees the negative.
It can't recognize facts and so attacks to deceive.

Envy rots the bones, it makes the body acidic,
For the old, it causes stiff veins which is rather toxic.

People who envy destroy their own fleeting peace,
They will rant and rage for anger they must release.

They are mad because they want what the other fellow has,
They wonder why their neighbor always has the greener grass.

Those who are growing old should no longer be prone
To the whims of envy, but be content for what they own.

It does not help to be cranky at the finish line
In life, live and let live, shed the envy, you'll be fine.
