Esquires Maudlin Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Esquires Maudlin

The heavens errupt
as my lips have found salvation in
yours
no earthly salvation
can compare
to the bliss found
in an angels care
my soul suffers for the sins
my body has yet to commit
I ask myself
is this the way to heaven
every twist every turn
more breathtaking than the next
everything I need can be found
in your grasp
everything I could ever want
everything I could ever imagine
meets the prayers
that have yet to be spoken
whether we dream together or in
silence
all I want is to be yours
all I'd ever yearn is to be yours
the hours that've turned into
days melt against the
chocolate laments
of our sealed hush waiting
as we've reached the horizon
our eyes have destined for
before our words ever met
each other
before our imanginations ever
became each others
the stars don't seem
as distant as they did before
merely gazing at the angels
as they frolic mongst
the different constallations that
long to become theirs
seeking the serentiny
we both hope to find
in the hands
that have yet to become lost
in each others
the nights
subdued to the silent cries
thats turned into the tears
baptized by under the moon thats
shone against your eye
mere butterflies thats turned
to the prayers that softly
lulls us to sleep
again I ask myself
is this the way to heaven
