Estranged. Separated. Divorced. Gone! Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Estranged. Separated. Divorced. Gone!

No more to amaze,
Is the craze these days.
That any attempt to use common sense.
Or present the appearance of it,
To suspect detected.
Becomes a threat.
Especially if this attempt is made,
By an internationally renowned scientist.
Respected and regarded,
To have a brain.
Not done to self proclaim.
But proven to actually use.
With every nut tightly screwed and bolted.

And...
Noticeably recognized to be,
Inside of a head...
Patiently tolerating decaying mentalities.
Long separated, divorced, estranged but gone.
Split to quit,
From reality.
Although their craze to keep it,
In the most effective way that charades...
A possible connection to comprehension,
That amuses and entertains...
Those who have prepared and taken,
Time released medication.
Done to numbness.
