Eternal Damnation Poem by Eric Yulfo

Eternal Damnation

In eternal damnation
encompassed by the cloak of darkness
in this abyss for myriads of ages
without sanity as a grip of harness
Confined to my lair cowering in recesses
fire lit tears line every regret in this facelessness
They are all here...the ghosts of the past
I'm living in their cages and no door opens fast
In perdition
visions of my pale death-masks
staring into nothingness
I am bound by fate with blood guilt hands
Writhing in hopelessness
too weak to render resistance
Ensnared is this malleable soul’s ascension
Wrapped in dark moratorium of redemption
In eternal soul torture
desolate screams howling with pain
scorned flesh exposing bone
This crumbling lust for His face found disdain
Stark shapes endlessly probe
Bleak whispers calling forth to the offal
Much dismay in this reeking crowd lies
Now there's only my decrepit prayer behind these eyes:
“Servo nos ex periculosus,
(Save us from danger)
'Servo nos ex malum.”
(Save us from evil)
