Eve Poem by Frank Avon

Eve

You are the rose
in my garden,

you are the plum
in my tree,

you are a rainbow
around me,

your are all Eden
to me.

YOU ARE ALL EDEN TO ME - the consequence of this assertion is both mystic and amatory: 1) it is mystic because the speaker has internalized the experience of Eden, it is a Moveable Feast. If (when) he leaves the Garden, he takes the garden with him, in other words, he will never lose the garden; 2) he associates the experience of the garden with the human woman to whom he is committed, she not his lifestyle in paradise is the center of his existence. He can absent the garden without regret or recrimination. O happy, happy pair!
