Even The Old - Poem by Shalom Freedman

EVEN THE OLD MAY KNOW THE HAPPINESS OF KINDNESS

Even the old may know the Happiness of Kindness-
May give to others
Humor and light-
Even the old may smile and hint at Beauty
Be for others a blessing and gift-
Even the old may be a pleasure to be with
And make the time pass as if it were not-
Even the old may make life seem good
In moments of peace when pain is not.
