Ever Had A Dream Poem by Janice Walkden

Ever had a dream
that seemed so real
and when you wake up
its all you can feel
whilst everything else
just fades back into reality?

Ever had a hunch
that once came true?
A feeling so strong
its all you could do
and the world as you know it
carries on in its own insanity

It cannot be just black or white
when the things you see
are in plain sight
and the things you hear
just happen to be right.

Ever had a vision appear in your head
just before you went to bed
so you told someone - got nothing to lose
and the very next day it was in the news

Much more are we
than the sum of our parts
with great strength of spirit
and love in our hearts

Much more are we
than flesh, blood and bone
... so much is 'hidden'
and so much 'unknown'
