Every Time I Hear The Words Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

Every Time I Hear The Words

Every time I hear the words coming out of your mouth, I can hear “I Love You”

So when the sun is setting, I’ll be sitting here for you. But every time I hear the words, I can hear you say “I love you”

Can you hear me, where you are? . Can you see the sun about to set in, because I can see it from where I am standing. If only you were here with me, holding hands and staring at the sun.

So when I am alone, I tend to think about you. Looking at your picture, is starting to make me teary eyed. Can you call me, so I can hear your voice. You know, you are my whole world to me. And I would do most anything for you.

But every time I hear your words, they seem to say “I Love You”
When I look at old notes & pictures, they seem to make me teary eyed.
You know the sun will set for you. When the time is right.

When summer skies are here, we like to make fires on the beach and bring out the old acoustic guitar. That’s when the fun comes out. Talking to old friends, seems to bring back special memories. Now the moon is high up in the sky and it is shining so brightly. That we can see each other in the night.

So every time I hear the words, I can hear them say “I Love You”
