Every year, I want you to be here
you know, I come only to see you
If you should miss even one family gathering
this once cheery scene would fall into shades of blue
it's not always said, but we need you
No, don't you go anywhere
don't you do anything too dangerous
you know you gotta be here
this year, every one of us is counting on you
just waiting, for you to come through
to put a smile on each face,
to brighten up the place

Yes, your Poet's Notes says it all! This is a poem of Thanksgiving without ever using the word. It expreses our hope that each one of our loved ones reaches the holiday in good health so that the celebration is complete. I was about to call this a Poem of Fate which is a word I use frequently to describe the the web of events which either preserves or (sadly) eliminates us. But you have used a more powerful word which trumps fate - it is a Poem of Miracle.
