Excepted Poem by Alyssa Ray

Excepted

Rating: 4.5

She told herself
This time would be different
She would be herself
She would them
And try to find love
But instead
She was pushed out
Tossed away
No one
Excepted her
So now
She tells herself
It will be different
So she takes her knife
And inserts the blade into her skin
Will she be excepted
Where she will be going?

Wow. Not what I expected. The ending asks such a big question. To be accepted and not shut out is more important than most know. You touch on a very sensitive subject here. Excepting and excluding has no fairness. Deborah Cromer

thats sad.......i can surely identify with this kind of feeling....when u r left alone............but hey i didn't put the blade on my skin......somehow over the years i learned to let it go..... nicely written...... ;) hey the spelling of excepted should be accepted here......
