Experimental Limitations Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Experimental Limitations

Rating: 3.0

All that evolves,
Is an experimental sensation.
Limited.
Not a moment of life lived,
Remains to stay unchanged.

Many can hear it to claim,
A Sun that rises to set...
Is as common,
As their daily routines.
Expected.
Taking for granted to dismiss,
The process of their birth.
And a growing,
To have memories.
More to reminisce them,
As youth to experience...
Is left replaced with aging.

Like everything on Earth does.
To eventually discover,
Has its limits.
As well as time.
Found to find,
Impossible to save.
For those unscheduled,
Rainy days.

An experiment to experience.
A creation not man-made.
We are only here to visit.
Not remodel the climate.
Nor its atmosphere.

And yet...
Many of us live to believe,
A doing done today we do...
Obediently stays that way.
With entitled approval given.

Although...
No one,
Dressed to impress.
With the best of etiquette,
Or pretentiousness can say...
Who or what it was decided,
To fade away their routine...
Way of life to live,
Into a permanent gone to go...
Nonexistence.
