When I look into people's eyes
I see what's in their souls.
I see their evil little ways
And their evil little goals.
I see the greed and hatred
That each one has for man.
I see the pain and suffering
That they'd bury if they can.
I see the loneliness and lies
That surface from time to time.
I see the emptiness inside
And I'm glad that it's not mine.
But every now and then,
I come across someone who,
Sees the world so differently
As it it's all brand new.
I see their hope and happiness
As if it just arrived today.
I see their childlike self
That only wants to play.
It gives me hope within,
That all is not lost for man.
With their evil little ways
And their evil little plans.
