Eyes Of Green, Eyes Of Blue Poem by Kay Colwill

Eyes Of Green, Eyes Of Blue

Rating: 5.0

eyes of green, eyes of blue
it's funny to think how much I've fallen for you
they made us pretend, they made us lie
what's so wrong with a guy loving another guy?

cheeky grin, loving smile
they said we should be apart for a little while
the boy I loved was taken away
all because it's 'wrong being gay'

now the love I have to give
is forced in a life I don't want to live
I just wanted to be who I am
but now I'm being forced to lie to every fan

my tears are falling on the floor
my heart is hurting much more than before
I grab a knife and say goodbye
I can't keep on living this lie

eyes of green, full of tears
the sound of his voice is all he hears
the boy that he used to love
is now watching from up above

years have passed since that say
the lonely songs still continue to play
eyes of green never understood why
society cause his blue eyed love to die

This poem is so sad and I love it! It reminds me of Louis and Harry and that's what makes it even more sad.

Although this poem is so incredibly sad, I love it. People should be allowed to be who they are and love whom they please without fear of recrimination. A very moving piece.
