Only A Young Girl Poem by Kay Colwill

Only A Young Girl

Sitting on her own,
bathing in the sun

her blue eyes searching for something,
someone

wishing she had a different past
and a better future

she shouldn't be wishing for that

she's only a young girl,
not yet a teenager

she shouldn't be wishing for that...

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Wishes are what we sometimes attach our fears too...I hope her wishes fly high to heaven...And become ones more beautiful. PEACE to your friend, and you for a most sympathetic poem. Lovely!
