Faceless Enemy Poem by Mariah Ali

Faceless Enemy

Rating: 5.0

You chased me like a cheetah in the wilderness
And passed your minutes in bitterness
Only to assault my young heart
And to see my young soul hurt

You set baits on my path
And your mission was to make me a psychopath
You did all of these hiding behind a dark veil
A veil that was full of sinister evil

But you forgot a supreme vision pierces through that veil
And sees through your evil veil
And smiles at your evil plot
He plots with every plot you plot

In a nutshell, your vile bile intended to loathe
But it rather was the nourisher to my growth
It was the sears I needed to sear my soul
And the raging fire needed to ravage my sick soul

Your bitter bile though unpleasant
I refused to make me depressant
I rather used it to reinvent my passion
Like the burnt phoenix rising from the ashes

Faceless enemy, your presence was necessary
And your bile was necessary
For it moulded me
Washed me

Your vile bile renewed my strength like an eagle from seclusion
It birth my evolution
I was reborn
Adorned.
