Failed Assailures Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Failed Assailures

Failed assailures.
Vehemently biting.
With a venomous offensive,
Attacking words.
Have a way of returning,
A deserving pay back.
Making those who perceive,
They have reached untouchable status.
Witnessed falling to their knees.
Publicly pleading.
To be forgiven of their intentional acts.
But time?
Too much of it has passed.
And pain?
Too much of that seems to last.
Leaving the ones who know,
Their sorrows, agony and pain like that.
Only can stand with their heads to bow.
Preventing themselves from clapping!
Or voicing their satisfaction,
To express it out. And loud!
