Fair Chance
sky was clear
night was dark
nothing unusual
why had not happened?
people were watching
the life game-
anyone can blame
the fair chance
not for me
dreams-dashed to pieces
hopes shattered everywhere
I was called for the same
for me a never played game
night had witnessed
the big blunt making way
though a little I had to say
about what had been said
I-blamed-though never played.
