Fairy Queen (Sonnet) Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

Fairy Queen (Sonnet)

Rating: 5.0

Once I was wandering lone by the sea
And it was a romantic full moon night.
I saw a fairy flying around me.
She was looking gorgeous in moonlight.

Her glittering eyes and innocent face
Fascinated my heart and mind badly.
'Why are you here? ' I said with eagerness.
Then she said, 'I look for a man for me'.

I said, 'Do you like me as your sweetheart.'
For a while the fairy gazed at me
And then she said to me, ' I'm on this earth
To find one like you who'll love me badly.'

Just then I woke up by somebody's scream
And my queen went far away with the dream.
