Fairytale Poem by Emily Michele

Fairytale

Rating: 0.5

there's a story behind it all,
every
crimson
scratch.
pain won't go until it bleeds away,
but always finds its way back.

it's the same aches,
thoughts
memories
that force her to stare out the window, to linger.
even after she grips the razor between her fingers.

she tells tales of 'once upon a time',
no now,
to just runaway.
with storybook characters on her innocent side, a beautiful white ball-gown already made.

But she's broken with no patience.
no castle.
no prince.
with battles to fight, yet, evil always wins.
cause there's only 'the end' for an ending, no 'ever after' to face it.

hoping inflicted pain will slowly erase it.

But won't her lonely heart tells her, never will.
all thanks to witches poison deadly enough,
to kill.

Just read it on her arms, the fairytale, her life.
where the damsel is more than distressed. when the no one girl is severely depressed.
she cuts herself.
her curse, which prince charming must break. while the seconds tic away till' 12o'clock to determine their fate.

will he realize in time? that she's been his sleeping beauty all along.
gaze,
kiss,
set her free, spend eternity happily, the way they belong.

Both their young lives will reflect off that one night, the decision he made at that magical ball.
wrong choice, he'll spend forever mourning the girl who taught him,

there's a story behind it all.
The End.
