Fare Thee Well Mentor Poem by Aron Lelei

Fare Thee Well Mentor

Rating: 4.5

To have a mentor is great
One who rises early every morn
Collects nectar and worms
All in readiness for the day ahead
Yet this mentor never tires nor squeals
But my mentor oh! My mentor!
I must bid you farewell

To have a companion is great
One who wakes to give guidance
Collects the fatty meal
All due to provision of day's meal
Yet this mentor never crawls nor squeaks
But my mentor oh! My mentor!
Time has caught up with you

To have a pal is great
One who sees from afar
Corrects, leads and directs the pathway
All in the reasons of success
Yet this mentor never slumbers nor sleeps
But my mentor oh! My mentor!
The junction of age has arrived

To have a hero is great
One who paves the way to tread on
Removes obstacles enroute to gloryland
All because of ingrained heroism
Yet this mentor never falters nor faints
But my mentor oh! My mentor!
I must bid you farewell and goodbye
