Farewell
To you my ever dearest friend
Today you were here
Smiling to me in your own special way
Your nearness so dear to me
The morning after you were gone
Your smile frozen in death for ever
The sound of your voice still lingering
Last moments of togetherness
Though destiny decided otherwise
Remembrance of you will stay in mind
So hard to accept your passing away
Heartache each new day
Life’s clock stopped for you on a Saturday
But in no way shall I forget
Those precious moments of complicity
We had the pleasure to share
When sadness wants to take over
Your special smile for me comes up
And turmoil sudden recoils
Yearning for a last time
To see this wonderful mischiveous
Look in your tender brown eyes
No way however this could happen
You were torn from this world
And I can never bid you my farewell
as you were gone in a blast
even though I wish to say
Farewell
to you my ever dearest friend

Very touching. And I understand every word of this one! For your friend, does the universe end? That's the question begged. Lovely if sad poem. Paul.
