Fastest Cowboy Poem by Jimmy Reiter

Fastest Cowboy

Carolina was my first love
She's where I learned to rope and ride
The winds of change came blowin my way
So I drifted toward the Georgia line

Georgia surely was a sweet one
Her peaches tasted oh so fine
I looked to the west and thought she'd be best
Trail dust is all I left behind

Now Cali that gals a hot one
With her golden glowin tan
Those bright sunny days and sophisticated ways
I couldn't walk away so I ran

A lass did called me scared once
I reckon she's not all that wrong
But then again when ya run from what your scared
Can ya blame a man for riding on

So my boots can be found in Colorado
My hat somewhere's down in Abilene
Ya see I'm here today and gone tomorrow
Cuz I'm the fastest cowboy you've ever seen
