Fatal Attraction Poem by Bill Cantrell

Fatal Attraction

Rating: 4.3

Just in case you have heard my words,
As I prayed upon my bed
To extract her from that room in my heart,
Where passions bathe in red
Cursed it that road within my eyes,
Leading me to her door
The grass grows much greener beneath her feet
But the price is my very soul
Perhaps she might have taken note,
To the wants of my hearts desire
Make me beware of the distance I keep,
For she may herself catch on fire
Begging to be a much better man,
I continue to put up a fight
Why does it seem a struggle of pain,
Trying to do what is right

A very well-penned write about the swaying of our moral compass. Our hearts and emotions sometimes trump the mind. This is poem that many can relate to. Brilliantly presented with much feelings.10
