Uncertainty, this fear of the unknown
is creeping deep within me
my love and heart I've openly shown
to the man with whom I want to be.
Yet this person has another life
one that exists without me
his family life is full of strife
that even outsiders can see.
We exchange love, passion and desire
each day as he comes to my home
we both know our actions could backfire
yet without each other, we feel alone.
What do I do, what can I say
should I continue in this kind of state?
Hoping for a life with him, each day I pray
is there anyone out there who can relate?
Our love is true and yet its forbidden
since both of us live double lives
our secret sins have all been hidden
as we look into our partner's eyes.
