Feathers Sprung From Shoulder Blades Poem by Alec Seabee

Feathers Sprung From Shoulder Blades

feathers sprung from shoulder blades
wings so white they make no shades
nor shadows on the ground below
she looks so bright
she seems to glow

I look and stare with open eyes
at all the people
passersby
and wonder why they cannot see
an angel stands in front of me

she does not speak or gives no sign
with open arms she starts to shine
a light so bright it covers all
I hear a sound
a faint call

a whisper tells me to believe
in love that lives eternally
I open my heart
let her in
a feeling plunges deep within

I've always known and always will
I've needed you and need you still
now let us rise and fly away
you have my heart
I know the way

have faith in me
I'll tell you why
my love for you will never die
I shield and fight for this to be
I'm one with you
be one with me
