February Poem by Ashley Best

February

2/8/09

As the winds caress my skin,
I continue to climb each stair with You.
With Jesus at my side,
there is nothing I cannot do.
The tears fall down and my heart starts to pound,
There is total silence, just the waves crashing down.
This place seems so familiar,
a feeling of security and peace in my soul.
The Spirit flows right through me,
I am not in control.
I begin to fly towards the top,
still not sure where this path may go.
But Jesus keeps whispering 'Don't worry, because I know.'
The stairs come to an end and my eyes gaze at what I can finally see,
The radiating glow embraces all of me.
The winds sing a melody and the waves release a soft mist,
Jesus stands before me with two closed fists.
'One hand is of the world, and one hand holds Truth and Love.
One holds glory to man, the other holds glory to My Father above.'
