There's one thing
That I know
With utmost certainty...
I can be having the crappiest...
Feel sorry for myself...
Want to beat up the world...
Kind of day
And all it takes...
Is one little signal
From my body...
The loss of vision in one eye...
To make me sit down and take notice! !
Yup...this I can say for sure!
A simple trip to the hospital
Was enough to
Make me feel pretty darned lucky
To be alive! !
Dee, so lovely to see you posting again. You're right, we sometimes need these little 'wake-up' calls to make us realise what we have around us. And yes, for the most part, we are ALL lucky in some shape or form. Nice scribing here. HG: -) xx
Good Morning Dee, we are lucky that you sent sent this verse to remind us all; it could be worse. Thanks Dee.
I love the way you see positive in everything. This finely composed piece speaks volumes. t x
How right you are...I keep going fuzzy in my left eye about every other week or so, Hey, I am the old and sick one not you so snap out of it.
An 'Aura or Veil Migraine, if thats what it turned out to be, is amost terrifying experience.I suffer rfom those, and have actually Ghost-Written articles for I.M'.s on their most surreal presentations.....You immediately think cerebral hemorrhage, and well you should, as the symptoms are so close in presentation...Now, if this was not your situation...please ignore the above blather & just know 2 things... 1) I'm glad you are lucky, healthy & with us ............................And............................ 2) Great Work! Hindsight is always 20/20. Especially if you are at the hospital for the removal of a glass eye you accidentally sat upon! Hope it was nothing serious! -chuck
Perspective is a wonderful thing. I hope all is now well. Ez X
