Festive Occasions Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Festive Occasions

My heart jumps with joy
At every festive occasion
Arrival of a religious festival,
Birthday, anniversary, or graduation.

It's the time to gather
One's kith and kin
Friends, relatives, and neighbors
And rejoice with food and drink.

Time goes on routinely
Sleep, rise, work, and sleep
Children go to school
And come back to do homework.

Occasional gatherings provide
A chance to renew relationships
That time seems to erase gradually
Life then rejuvenates witn new zeal

There is so much of truth in what you have said here! I am sure your recent trip to India to join your kith and kin must have proved to be a highly exciting and rejuvenating experience for you!
