Field Of Sorrow Poem by Justin Hendricks

Field Of Sorrow

Day is spent wondering through my field.
Love and sorrow, so tender so real.
No birds sing or crickets cry.
In my field all must die.

Daytime brings the no wanted sunshine,
Only shadows and gloom absent of life.
There is no love, not even a sign.
Only the love of this bloody knife.

When dusk arrives not one creature can try,
to attempt any movement or he will certainly die.
Shadows consume, no life to be felt.
A strange sense of hope that slowly melts.

Midnight engulfs my field in death.
I'll kill any life, even a breath.
Morning chills that burn so cold.
My hearts dispair cannot be sold.

As I watch the sun arise,
I look at my field burning in black.
Newly transformed into a web of lies.
My deadly words i'll never take back.

Now you see a life in a shadowy haze.
My feelings you see I can't deny.
I am lost in the dull black maze.
To no one which I can rely.
