Fight Poem by Victor Cruickshank

Fight

Gone were those days
Gone were the days where we sat in the light
The light produced by the moon by night
But now we know that it is all a lie
And so instead we stare and cry
Because we know the moon makes no light
But rather the sun's yellow light it reflects as white
Oh Childhood Bye-Bye, a new phase has risen
Now I have to fight the fight
But never will I flee the plight
I will do what's right because I am the knight
And in spite of that I am also the King
But reality make me just a commoner
I am not a pauper and I have my honor
These things one must learn sooner or later
I will fight and emerge victorious
And this victory must be in history
A story told be me
I came, I saw and I conquered.
