Final Mission Poem by Ima Ryma

Final Mission

The U.S.A. decided to
Send a team to the moon so that
Current powers that be could do,
With permanent base habitat,
A claim of moon for U.S.A.
So we landed successfully,
And set up for a lengthy stay.
Three other astronauts and me,
We've been here now a month or so.
And then did come this fateful day.
Flashes of light on Earth did show.
The four of us began to pray.

Houston, we have a problem, yup,
We're watching you and Earth blow up.
