Finally Graduating Poem by Jordan Clark

Finally Graduating

I see you're all happy, I see all the glee

Most of you smile, we're finally free

The finish line's crossed, we've made it to May

Done with the freshmen that get in our way

High School's a ride, Hammond was tough

Sometimes it was a prison like our ankles were cuffed

Embarrassing moments like spilling drinks on our pants

Or the pressures of asking your favorite girl to the dance

It's been tough and I know, some just passed by a hair

Living sick with these classes and all we felt was despair

But it's cool since we made it, and not one of you gave up

From the fights to the couples and all the rumors we made up

Now spirit week was live, because we knew what it meant

That these were going to be the last few quarters we spent

Yeah in the real life it's tough, I think we're ready it seems

I hope and pray that each of you go and follow your dreams

I pray for millionaires, scientists, professional teams

Congratulations to you all, Class of 2014.
