Finding Myself Poem by Krystal (Sky) Howard

Finding Myself

Rating: 5.0

There’s a big pimple on her face
Mustache is growing
Her hair is a disgrace
Yet none of this is showing

When looking in the mirror
Now she can see
The image is clearer
Wow, that’s me

You take a closer look
To see what else you could find
You read yourself like a book
And try to clear your mind

Love me, you say
Love me true
It’s my heart that will pay
So you know what’s due

Letting go of who I thought I was
And loving what’s inside
Loving me like no one else does
Letting go of egotistic pride

Look in the mirror again
And tell me what you see
A being of light, pure as rain
And we all are, you see

I am you and you are me!

*** You loving me makes me happy
But loving myself helps me grow ***
