Fireflies In The Zanarkand Ruins Poem by Justin Gildow

Fireflies In The Zanarkand Ruins

Surprisingly tranquil for this time of night
And you're holding my hand in yours
All around
The fireflies in the Zanarkand Ruins have made this place their home

We know that the beauty of the Zanarkand Ruins is in jeopardy
But we try to push the sadness out of our minds
The night sky is beautiful
The full moon is pure white
And tonight the stars along with us shine

The fireflies in the Zanarkand Ruins flutter around
As we move about
As we stand still
They land on our skin
While blessing this love that we share
Once that's done
They leave us
And fly to somewhere else
In the air
