Five Feet Away Poem by Vassim Suraj

Five Feet Away

Rating: 5.0

Five feet away
She stood from him.
First time he did feel
That vibe in him
Everything about her
Quickly was everything to him
He lived his whole life
But never did he feel it.

Five feet ahead
she sits ahead of him
All his lessons
were about her
Her hair falling
on to her face.
Th way she brushed it off
Earth suddenly seemed round
Sat in all the classes
didnt hear what they said
But never missed
whetever she did.

Five feet behind
She stood in a queue
This was the day
he was going to say
what that lay in his mind
All this while
bend on his knees
Breaking the silence
Three words from his mouth
And then the math seemed wrong
Cause one and one made one.

Life was brighter
Everything seemed
right in place.
She was his
and the world was theirs.
Was too good to be true
But it was real!
For his life revolved
around her.
She was the star
and he was the planet.

Five Feet away,
She stood from him.
Didn't say a word
Ignored him
Reason never existed
For last three years
were just perfect.
But all was gone
She wanted to leave
And she wouldn't say
Why he wasn't good enough.

Five feet across
He lay in his bed
Thinking what went wrong
Sleepless nights
Answer never turned up
It was hard
But he moved on
For life lies ahead
A girl means nothing
Busy did he go
For a moment stop
Brought memories..

Five feet below
she lay beneathh him
He wasn't the only person
That she bid adieu
But from the world.
He whispered in her grave:
'Oh baby, you left me
To not make me cry.
But just know you
were my sun and
I was your earth.
Earth doesn't live
If Sun goes.
So baby, Here I come '
