Five Feet Poem by Randy McClave

Five Feet

Rating: 5.0

We were just five feet apart
When you first broke my heart,
As I sat at my desk in my chair
At you I had to stare.
I wished about me, you had said you wanted to know him
I then wrote my very first poem.

We stood just five feet away
While we were in the cafeteria that one day,
You then looked at me and then you smiled
I was now not complicated, but happy being a child.
Though of me you had never knew or heard
But, because of you I created a line, and a new word.

We were just five feet across in the line
I was to young to know what I wanted as mine,
And there you stood not far away from me
I was now joyous and so very happy.
Though you and I didn't truly converse
Though because of you, you inspired another verse.

Only 5 feet distanced us
As you and I both sat on the very same bus,
Never to you, do I know what to speak
As words and sentiments my brain desperately tried to seek.
Then came the words that my soul chose
On paper you then inspired another prose.

We have always been separated by five feet
But, you and I officially never did meet,
But, my soul you still and will always inspire
As long as I have a breadth and a heart and a desire.
I think, if just only you and I had stood much closer
I would had been the world's greatest composer.

A truth and sadness that only one that have gone through can understand. A poem full of emotions. Thanks for sharing.

Just five feet apart there is broken heart. But just love will glow and blow again soon with dignified attitude. An amazing poem is shared here.10
