Floating Poem by Gavin Wendland

Floating

throwing liquid rocks
sleeping in a concrete box
all the trees melt to the ground
all i see is water all around

my life is falling down
my hearts beats with a pound
i need to run but theres no ground
im floating away without a sound

i see my body on the earth
think of my life from birth
and wonder what i couldve done
to be a better son

im sorry for all my troubles
all of my constant struggles
but il be up here looking down
im in a better place than this town
