Flowers Galore Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Flowers Galore

Flowers Galore

Flowers galore in my living room,
In my garage even and office room.
My garden flowed even,
Into my heart,
And there they bloomed and played their part.
You see, they were there just for me.
Life gave me so many flowers you see.
I had to traipse around and throw them to others.
You see, all lives didn't have them.
Others groveled on the streets of poverty.
Their cement street knew no flowers.
I decided one day to give many flowers,
To one who didn't have one.
But one day, I gave them all away,
And kept one for myself.
My world now looked beautiful,
With people aplenty with flowers.
The wealth spread across the land,
Thanks to giving a helping hand.
More flowers grew in my heart once again.
From then own I never suffered much pain.
