For A Poet Friend
A friend that's far away,
Is still a friend
Especially if Poetry's
In the blend
There's something great
About poetic "liaisons"
They tie up hearts
And make you feel
Much less alone.
A very simple verse
I write for you
But know, you have
My gratitude,
Affection, too.
