For All To See Poem by Minnie Gehrig

For All To See

I am alone now,
my cup sparkling with spirits,
thinking of all the truths dressed like lies,
dancing across all the
seemingly innocent smiles
of all the boys ive made love to,
beautifull liars,
sheeps in wolves clothing,
good with there hands,
and elegant words,
shadowing romeo,

and I am julietts pretended death,
shallow, and secret,
in my dark places,
where I hide my love as if
it is precious china
afraid to be broken,

and on brave days and holidays I lay it out on the table,
all shimmering and see thru
for all to see.
