For His Mind Longs For Inner Peace Poem by Leon Jaime Villegas

For His Mind Longs For Inner Peace

In rivers murky waters of life, some copious,
as dancers in disarray, incomparable whirl round thoughts,
his lucidness shaken, a seeker's
for a balance of mind, recovery is sought,
from within a momentum gathers,
somehow peeked, in succession rang his struggles,
his restless thoughts show, linger by the clip,
inadvertently, cease in silence tucked,
they void round throb, in its continual still, pervaded shadow,
extant for essence feels lost, in calm within,
reminds of antagonistic pure torrent, clung steadfastly inside.
Of this main subject in view, what's ascertained,
its true origins, thy know of nothing yet,
passing this existence, as walker perplexed,
for his experiences of life, nothing prime,
garnered, errantly walks without north or south
foresight lacks, yield no substance, unlikeable
in its dealings, afield environs vanished,
in distant memories, a whirlwind of infinite choices,
ahead looms paths, brought about them, never dreamed of calamities.
Upon a nearby horizon, a vast sea brings its tide, rest washed,
on neverending hollow shores, free of worthy creatures,
in the end, stench claims its proximity, ever so close,
for a serious need of prayer, it's called for.
Man, ever so more, ought to look, for his deep heart intelligence,
in all being's expected, a pharos awakens,
from their hearts' centers, springs out,
its inner flame snuggly, gathers
affection, diffused across all lands, must shine,
your wisdom rays down, O Mercy One.
Induce now, on us awakening change,
on incessant pace, marches universe in chaos,
so, for a realm thus finite, dire outlook,
upon humanity, dangles a polarity, in a head so persistent,
stands tiresome a duality, forever wishes,
on sinuous a trip, moves erratically, from a nauseated being,
who from the inside fights, O Exhausted One,
for his mind longs for inner peace...
