I watch you at night, only when you sleep
I watch you at night, so safe I want you to keep

Your dreams will take you, where I can not go
my baby no more, your own mind this I do know

My little girl, is what you will always be
so proud I am of you, this I hope you see

You are my child, this will never change
but my love for you, this I rearrange

As you grow older, the ties I must undo
but what will never change, is the love I have for you
