For My Valentine Date Written 11/02/2008

If given the choice, it would be you.
My eyes are blinkered when you are before me.
I blush and become bewitched by your attention.
And the world around me fades into non-existence.

And Yet..We keep eachother for a seldom treat.
We turn..and spurn for fear of relishing.
But the nonchalant cover is slipping.
Glimpses we catch of our true emotion.

So clever are we with words for everyone,
Only to descend into inarticularity in eachothers' arms.
We desperately cling to being shallow and distant,
In the hope that either one will not run away forever.

Scared...Scarred, living in the limbo of half a couple.
While walking in the moonlight we are talking perfect truth.
Come to me my love...
I already know we are in love.
Our changed kiss gave us away.
