For Those Who Dare To Love Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

For Those Who Dare To Love

Love is hard on those who are sincere
and who truly love
why is that so?
I want to understand and know

It seems so unfair
that the one's who most care
feel their heart's deepest emotions
vanish into thin air
and it hurts them so

Why must they carry the burden
and pay the steepest price,
for thier kindness and their nice
having commited not crime or vice
I wish its answer would show

To the good souls who love
who freely give away their hearts
you are the angels
and someday I pray that love will be real
because you are the ones who feel
I pray that this you know

Someday love will come to you
and color every flower
and brighten every rose
and make you tingle from your head to your toes
and make you smile from ear to hear
only sweet notes of love and kindness will you hear
and God will take away all your sadness and fear
and life will get brighter from year to year
you who love....without fear
I think this in time you'll know

Because you are Love
its in your every hope
its in your every breath
its in your every dream
since birth
and until death
you are the dreamers that give love its air
and the sadests thing in the world
is that to you its been unfair

But I promise you
keep your hopes bright
someday it won't be such a fight
You'll eventually find the one that's just right
and when you do happiness will follow
and make up for all you've had to swallow
life will be full and serene
and not so thankless and hollow
Like it does sometimes seem
This you must know

All the love you've held inside
All the love you've given kindly
All the love you dreamed
And have tried to sew
Your love will one day blossom and grow
