guilt can take you down and kill you fast
the exposure is quick but the effects will last
the lies that were told and the chaos that followed
it's like a big pill that can't be swallowed

if you're beautiful, you can get away with anything
you're something different, like a bee with no sting
compliments are for liars but true love will show through
baby you're beautiful and none of the stories are true

you need a sidekick like batman needs robin
a less pretty you to make the thread spin on the bobbin
to sew up the sky and save all the stars
keep them in a bottle to heal all your scars

girls like you aren't mass produced in heaven
those are the cheaters who wish on 11: 11
wishes aren't granted to liars and thieves
only to people who have their hearts on their sleeves

let's wrap this up now cause i'm sure you're bored
back to where the dime a dozen robots are stored
i go all day with rhymes in my head
but lately it's been you instead

everyone's gotta believe in something
but you, you've got my heart on a string
and i like it, it feels nice to care again
i like a little excitement now and then
