For You Poem by Adam Anonymous

For You

Rating: 5.0

They say your eyes are the window to your soul,
Well if that's true your soul is a portrait of the finest art,
A canvas of impassioned thoughts, languid, dark as coal,
And brush strokes, light and fierce, ablaze alike your heart.

They say that love is the poetry of the senses,
But I need not hold, taste or breathe in your skin,
Nor look within your radiant eyes to dropp my pretences,
Your angelic voice is enough to evoke my heart again.

They say that to love is to receive a glimpse of heaven,
Then I can only say that paradise is beautiful beyond compare,
As shall be our children, both boy and girl—I'd want seven,
I cannot help but dream of when it is my children you will bare

I love you Erin, forever and always, on till time robs me of my youth,
My love shall thrive on, our children it's living, breathing, laughing proof.
